Haddo User Group (HUG)

For more than half a century Haddo has maintained a proud tradition of high quality artistic output from locally based charitable organisations. Local audiences have enjoyed a rich variety of operas, oratorio concerts, musicals and plays performed and organised by local people of all ages. Several groups under the collective name ‘HUG’ (Haddo User Group) continue to enjoy the excellent rehearsal and theatrical facilities at Haddo, now maintained and run by the National Trust for Scotland.

HUG is formed by the following organisations:

• Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society (HHCOS), and its member organisations:
  • Haddo Voices (formerly Haddo Junior Choirs)
  • Haddo Youth Music Theatre
• Haddo Children's Theatre
• Haddo Chapel

Haddo is a very special place for the arts and relies on the dedication of volunteers and generous donations and sponsorship to retain its vitality and high standards. All the groups guarantee a warm welcome to new members, without audition, who are bound to appreciate the friendly atmosphere.
